Starting today, advance payments of up to €800,000 can be made under Bridging Assistance III. In the past, the maximum amount was €400,000.

Federal Minister Peter Altmaier said: "Starting today, companies which quickly need large sums can receive advance payments of up to €800,000. The higher advance payments are to help quickly where support is needed most urgently."

Bridging Assistance III is available to companies that are heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the current partial lockdown. Until 30 June 2021, these companies can receive support of up to €1.5 million per month. Affiliated companies receive up to €3 million per month. The aid does not need to be repaid. Since 10 February 2021, companies throughout Germany have been able to submit applications for Bridging Assistance III via www.ueberbrueckungshilfe-unternehmen.de (in German).
