From today, restrictions on entry to the U.S.have been eased for visitors from Europe who have been fully vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19. The strict ban on the entry of the United States, which was in force from March 2020, has thus been lifted.

Economic Affairs Minister Peter Altmaier said: "After almost 20 months, tourists and businesspeople who have been fully vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19 can again enter the United States from today. This is good news for our transatlantic relations, for our economies and for the people."
