An energy partnership has existed since 2017. The focus is on the integration of renewable energy into the system, energy efficiency, digitisation and green hydrogen. Given its high share of renewable energy and experience in the area of hydrogen applications, Brazil offers very good conditions for the manufacture of green hydrogen. The energy partnership is providing active advice and support, e.g. for the revision of Brazil’s Hydrogen Strategy.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action has the lead responsibility for the energy partnership.
