Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck is travelling to Davos today to attend this year’s Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) under the motto "Rebuilding Trust".

Minister Habeck will be holding bilateral talks with important partners to discuss global challenges and long-term solutions and possibilities to support Ukraine. He will be talking with Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin, Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, and Federal Councillor Albert Rösti, Head of the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications.

In addition, he will be participating in panels and roundtables. This includes a panel entitled "Europe in the New Global Economy" together with his Danish counterpart Morten Bødskov.

Federal Minister Habeck said: We are facing urgent global challenges. The terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel has further destabilised international security. International trade is currently being threatened by the Huthi rebels in Yemen. For nearly two years now, Russia has been waging a war of aggression against Ukraine and its civilian population. And climate change continues to be an urgent task. Only together can we master the multiple global crises. We need to intensively discuss these issues in Davos.
