The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action launched this initiative in 2015 to support companies with environmental technology products in their portfolio as they venture onto new markets abroad. The focus is on products or services from the fields of sustainable water management, the circular economy, clean air, noise reduction and sustainable mobility.
The Environmental Technologies Export Initiative uses the modules developed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) under the Market Entry Programme. There are information events in Germany about specific foreign markets, matchmaking missions to interesting target markets and information visits of foreign decision-makers to Germany.
Annually, some 30 projects are implemented under the export initiative. Together with other federal ministries, the Economic Affairs and Climate Ministry is also developing other measures that will expand export initiative’s portfolio.
